This variable asked students to write about what they had done to achieve that future expectation. The written responses were coded according to the following scale: 0 = No response given. 1 = Unrealistic or non-specific actions taken. 2 = General actions that might promote achieving the goal. 3 = Specific actions likely to promote achieving the goal.
