Comment: Students who have expressed clearly defined future expectations have probably also started to take steps to ensure those expectations are achieved or at least, more likely to come about through taking those steps. This variable asked students to write about what they had done to achieve that future expectation. The written responses were coded according to the following scale:
0 = No response given.
1 = Unrealistic or non-specific actions taken.
2 = General actions that might promote achieving the goal.
3 = Specific actions likely to promote achieving the goal.
